Erik serves the CMwD as Youth and Young Adult Chaplain and the UUA as the official C*UUYAN Young Adult Observer to the UUA Board of Trustees. In this capacity, Erik has attended all in-person and remote meetings of the UUA Board since 2009, and recently sat on the Regionalization and Representation Task Force of the UUA Board.
Erik is an expert user of technology and has helped contribute to the internet presence and online media capabilities of dozens of UU organizations and congregations over the past ten years.
Erik is also well-versed in Policy Governance, the new governance model employed by the UUA and the CMwD. Understanding this shift in governance is essential to anyone wishing to be effective at the Board level.
Though Erik has only just begun to serve a CMwD congregation, he has been living and working in the CMwD for six years and has established personal and professional relationships with the District and over a third of CMwD congregations. As a result, he has intimate knowledge of the organizational and location-specific needs of our members.
